This philosophy inspired the Simon H. Stertzer, MD Chair in Interventional Cardiology at Stanford University.

Established in 1998 with a gift from Dr. Simon H. and Kimberly A. Stertzer, the professorship supports the position of the Chief of Interventional Cardiology at Stanford University Medical Center. It was expanded two years ago to also support the Director of the Cardiovascular Institute at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

Biodesign Program, Stanford University

Funded fellowships and served as mentor to the Stanford Biodesign program, which advances innovation in cardiovascular technology.

New York University School of Medicine Scholarship Fund

Provides New York University medical students with tuition assistance.

Physicians Assistant Program, Stanford University

Provides financial assistance to the Physicians Assistant program at Stanford University School of Medicine.
